Lisa Feveck: From Electrical Engineer To Menopause Coach

Welcome Lisa Feveck to Female Health Founders, how did your journey in women’s health begin?

The world of health and wellness wasn’t always on my radar. In fact, I spent a few years as an electrical engineer, using my skills to make a small difference in people’s lives. It was a job I truly loved. Then… everything changed.

Two spinal surgeries forced me to step away from that world, leaving me wondering what path to take next.

Recovery meant working with a dietitian, since exercise was pretty much off the table. But let me tell you, that was a whole other story. Here I was, vulnerable and needing guidance, and all I got was a bland diet sheet with no real support. That experience sparked a fire in me. I knew there had to be a better way, so I went back to university to become a dietitian.

Then in my 30s, something else unexpected happened – I hit menopause early. It was a whirlwind of symptoms… depression, anxiety, joint pain, my heart racing, and all I got were medications for each individual issue. It felt so disconnected, treating symptoms without addressing the root cause. It wasn’t until I started digging deeper, doing my own research, that the lightbulb went off! It was all connected… menopause!

That’s when everything clicked. I realized there were countless women out there, just like me, feeling lost and unheard.

So I decided to dedicate my energy to supporting these amazing women. I want to help them navigate not just the physical changes, but the emotional and mental ones too. Whether it’s at home, work or with their partners, my mission is to make them feel seen, heard and empowered to take back control of their lives. This journey may not have been what I planned, but it’s become my passion… and I can’t wait to see where it leads me!

As a woman in business, what obstacles have you faced in establishing your company? And how have you overcome them?

Sometimes being a woman in business based outside the USA or UK can lead to unconscious bias and stereotypes, which can affect my credibility and authority. So giving myself grace as I go through the “know…. like… trust” process has been important as women to get to know me and what I do before trusting me with their personal issues.

How do you see the landscape of digital women’s health evolving to fill the gender health gap?

By addressing existing gaps and continuously innovating especially with AI tools, digital women’s health has the potential to significantly improve women’s healthcare experiences and bridge the gender health gap. Platforms like yours are proving that every day.

Can you pinpoint a particular strategy that has been pivotal to the success of your holistic health business? How did you develop it? What impact has it had?

Honestly… by creating a space where women feel truly heard, free from judgment and empowered to share their experiences openly and honestly.
